Mindfulness – a set of techniques to calm and focus your mind

Practising mindfulness makes dealing with everyday stresses in life just that little bit easier
Mental wellbeing has a significant impact on business
In a given 12 month period, 20 per cent of Australians will experience a mental health condition¹. Employees who are stressed are more likely to fall sick and more likely to suffer from clinical anxiety or depression, meaning stressed employees are more likely to be absent from work.
Research has also shown that stressed employees are less productive even while at work — 'presenteeism'. They are more likely to feel fatigued, less focused and less motivated than other employees.
The direct impact of mental health on Australian businesses is estimated to be $10 billion annually².
Mindfulness is a proven method for relieving stress and increasing productivity
Mindfulness can help your teams to reduce stress, improve sleep, balance emotions and improve focus. Not only does this improve their wellbeing, but when your people are calmer, balanced and more focused they perform better.
Businesses globally are starting to realise the benefits of mindfulness in the workplace with leading global companies providing regular mindfulness sessions for their employees.
One study found a benefit of $5,000 per employee in improved productivity and reduced healthcare costs from introducing regular guided mindfulness sessions for staff³.
